I just looked at the website of www.stocksmart.com in their Options section. There is a large open interest in the May 10 Calls and Puts. Also a large open interest in the May 12 1/2 Calls. The Options Market's open interest appears to have already written-off the month of April. Although that could change based upon any new market information.

My previous post was a wishful and humorous note to Icahn and Price. Although it is good to hear that Carl has free capital to redeploy. Where did you read of Icahn's unloading of RJR stock?

I looked at the www.dbc.com website and noted that in the break down of the numbers on Friday on NOVL that the Bid Size was 140 versus the Ask Size of 10. I looked at several other stocks of interest to me and noted that every one of theses stocks had the Bid and Ask Size matched up in numbers. Does this represent anything of significance to continuing monitoring?

I also read your previous post that mentioned QDEK. I went to the www.quoteyahoo.com website. I looked under research and QDEK is ranked 324th out of 325 in comparison to its industry. I looked at the www.sec.gov website and there have been several 13D-G filings this year, but by no "heavy weights". May be the charts have something.

You are right that Novell's chart does not look good; having gapped-down and smashing through its 50 day moving average line on heavy volume.

At the www.smartstock.com site under the top institutional holdings as of 06/30/96 the number 1 ranked institution was listed as American Express Financial with a 4.78% stake. It is a shame that they are not more vocal over NOVL's poor porformance, perhaps they are too embarassed at this point. CALPERS was only ranked 19th. in the rankings. There were a number of Retiremnet Systems from various states that were included in the top 20 positions.
