And how exactly are EMC and NTAP going to build their network storage boxes? With flash, DRAM, optical drives, etc.?

Only one of the above listed needs to die, and the industry would lurch into heavy undersupply. And it's going to be the one that's the most undercapitalized. Guess who?

I think the market recognized that. At the end of the day, the reaction to QNTM's problems were pretty muted. Surprising, since MXTR and WDC are pure play desktop drives.
