Patience is hard to practice sometimes.
In the 1000s of messages here, there has been a number of good contributions from the "old" crowd and new ones that have joined us. Most tire of the task and see their past contributions to be available in the archives. They go back to their active trading and return every so often. Some realize it is time consuming and might take away from the always too short time we seem to have.
Most of the contributors practiced what they preached and went thru the required hands-on Application of TA. We don't really learn from books, but we can learn from applying or testing what we read. Then real life sets in, emotions come into play when real money is bet on the trading game. Youth often looks for shortcuts, and take more risk. Or they might have a belief in "names", there are a number of people that write books from daytrading to fundamentals that don't trade period. They might write interesting, even great, books. I really don't know if Elder, Murphy, and Pring trade, now. Murphy has written some great books explaining the creations of others. Maybe, he doesn't have to trade, but I feel he has studied and tested the classic methods he teaches others thru his books. That is at least required of those that teach or share.
Dave Evans' contributions are based on practice and study. I am sure he will be back, between trading and running around the world, I am surprised we see him as often as we do.
