I saw the bid and ask on QWST (I think) yesterday that were $2 apart, so I checked time & sales chart. Problem was that most of the bid/ask quotes were from nasdaq, but some chicago quotes were scattered in there as well. So, sometimes you would see the bid from one exchange and the ask from the other, and sometimes they were $2 apart. Same might have happened on Ameritrade.
