[chat & 3COM]

Don't forget a beer at the "Roten Oxen," where I carved my initials some time ago. Also:

If 3COM is after USRX's position in remote access, and control of the standard (X2 vs flex at 56k) is critical to combined interim strategy, shouldn't the new entity be as interested in Amati as USRX would have been as a standalone?? AOL with 7-8 million memebers is testing and may deploy X2, and seems enthusiastic about ADSL. (I think I read that here, recently.)

Sorry about the rambling. Anyway, the following showed up on Businesswire at 11:54 pm last night, for whatever it may portend. I guess like everyone I expect a terrific announcement soon, but not on St. Pat's day and not from this venue. Still, 3COM bears watching.
