rob, your thought counts. i just happened to click "respond" first.

as to irid, it's a new system and therefore painful start. by all means, however, they seem to get support from all corners for the support of the entire system. everyone but the few big shorts and close competitors want them to survive. i believe that just as regular cell phone minutes have gone down from ~$1 local-off-pick a few years ago to $.1 anywhere and anytime in the us today, their prices will also go down which will bring in millions of new costumers. for the latter to happen we need that few years. as for now, anyone who's wishing he got in airtouch (and others) when they were young should wish no more and look at I*. the risks are there and so please don't bet the farm, nor the horse. just a little for the hell of it. you don't need much if this goes right. if vic versa, it would be a little slap on the face.
