Welcome back. Did they have the Jurassic Park ride out in FLA -- my 8 yr old daughter and I couldn't get enough of that in Hollywood, despite being drenched on a relatively brisk day.

Back on topic, I absolutely agree that the client-server model will be with us forever. My point was that there is a continued migration of power to the desktop, at the same time that power is increasing at the servers. I remember the beginning days of the Cray CMP; everyone was so excited about having 32MB of physical memory!! I could actually get big models (3000 nodes then) to run in less then a few days. Instead of quenching our thirst, it made us want more. That feeling has not changed.
