OT: The new rides

Ray I did not get a chance to go to the Jurassic Park ride, but you do get swallowed by a trynasoress rex [sp?] in the Back-to-Future ride. Both BTF and Spiderman rides can be considered virtual roller coasters. You sit in a "car" and put on 3d glasses. The technology has come a long way from the old red-green glasses. It is quite realistic now. The car moves according to the change in sceneary to fully simulate the effects of turns and falls. The Spiderman ride had the added realism (now there is something to think about...virtual realism in a cartoon!) that as the bad guy fell in water, real water was sprincled on you and as you backed away from Dr. Octapus firing a blow torch at you, heat waves would hit you. The timings and the strength of these effect can still improve, but we are certainly on the right track.
