<Wonder when he is going to notice Windows 95 ...>

Will someone else on WS has noticed. On CNBC within last 2 days, one of the guest analysts mentioned Microsoft's Y2K problems and did mention specifically that Windows 95 was not compliant. Didn't generate any comments or discussion though.

<the problem was not widely known because "what they're (Microsoft) worried about is, when you tell people to do an upgrade like that - download the patch and upgrade it - you get a million tech support calls.">

My greatest concern are the millions who are NOT on the net to downgrade these patches. How many millions are there, including small & mid-sized businesses (<500 employees) ... using either Microsoft 3.1, Windows 95 & 98? How's Microsoft planning on getting CD's in the hands of all of these people in October/November?

<Murphy said the problem wasn't fatal and Microsoft notification of this wouldn't really be widely known "until we get toward October-November.">

Sure is cutting it close.

Remember that HUGE, fully-computerized house that Gates built a few years ago ... before Microsoft was aware of Y2K "minor issues"? Wonder if his house is Y2K compliant? I doubt it. Would serve him right. LOL
