To ALL: [ BA/DSC agreement ]

I would think this gives DSC Communications one foot in the door for xDSL equipment.. ADI/AWRE DMT... I believe initial deployment this year will be CAP... then CAP/DMT in 1998.

DALLAS, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- DSC Communications Corp announced today that DSC and Bell Atlantic Corp have resolved their litigation against Lucent Technologies Inc . The litigation was filed by the two companies against Lucent in February 1996. All of the claims brought by Bell Atlantic and DSC were dismissed as a part of the settlement. Lucent voluntarily dismissed its counter-claim against DSC.

Following the settlement of the litigation, DSC announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with Bell Atlantic for the purchase of telecommunications equipment. The agreement, which provides for a minimum level of ongoing business with Bell Atlantic, is valued at a significant multiple of the existing level of business between the two companies and extends from 1998 to 2001.
