Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures owns 54% of High Speed Access, and Vulcan's Charter Communications cable unit has agreed to give the company rights to at least 750,000 homes passed. As you know Paul has accumulated a lot of cable companies. Phone companies are years behind cable companies when it comes to high speed access at a REASONABLE price. I've had cable modem for 2 years and I pay $34.95 a month and I can network all our computers without any speed degradation. Business customers pay anywheres from $79.95 a month to $1000 + a month depending on the amount of seats.
