Alec, to know when to sell I question myself why I bought. I bought AMD as a cyclical in it's 'low' cycle. It turns out the timing was off since I started buying at $19, only to chase it down to $10. But I followed the company and I knew it was on the right track and it would turn around.

I have already sold AMD for two reasons: a) price-wise it is no longer at it's low cycle b) fundamentally it is still at the 'low' cycle.

How AMD will compete with Intel is a questionmark. I like the K5, I use it on my unix machine 24h/day non-stop, never head a problem, very satisfied, I expect K6 to be more of the same but much faster. How well will AMD do? I don't know. If I knew they'd do well I wouldn't sell. But I know why I bought, so I sold.

Gotta know why you buy.

Kiriakos
