Larry: Thanks for the reference. Based on it, none of the technical issues have been addressed yet. As is said, "The Devil is in the details". I wonder what happens to the facilities in Portland during the next few years while the issue is being debated. Does anyone understand any of the details of how multiple ISPs would operate using the same cable. Does the reverse channel equipment handle multiple, independent data channels simultaneously (or does additional equipment have to be installed for each ISP)? What are the limits in the existing technology relating to multiple ISPs?
