Hi X, does anyone have a source for yearly Hi/Low P/E based on trailing earnings?

Based on trailing earnings is the operative phrase here. Your response to John exactly hi-lites my problem with historical high and low P/E. Please see my post to Jim earlier today techstocks.com

You have stated before that INTC ran up last fall at a trailing earnings P/E of 26. That's the same trailing P/E INTC was rising up to and then bouncing back off of during much of February. But, many posters feel that P/E is historically "out of whack".

I have yet to find a source of historical P/E based on trailing earnings. It's certainly harder to calculate since everyday of the year has to be considered, versus traditionally calculating P/E for two days of the year (ie Hi/Low share price days for year and year end earnings).

BTW, our investing stlyes are somewhat similar. INTC is my one good idea over the last couple of years so I'm massively under diversified.
Good Luck.

Peter
