You have every right to be offended. No problem. But where you crossed my line was to effectively tell me to go f*ck myself. That is something I read as a personal attack.

And it connected. Oh so solidly. I am hurt. Because you X-ringed me in some of my deepest psychic scar tissue.

If you really believe I was doing that - more to the point if you believe I had any intention of doing that - I despair of arriving at common ground.

Look. I did you a wrong one and I'm sorry and you're pissed off major. That is real. But it is equally clear that you don't want my apologies. I'm in a no winner here. My proposal is this: I will not post to you, and I will not talk about you or your posts in the third person. You can post to me or talk about me; no point in my expecting you to pay attention to my preferences. We'll post to the same people on the same threads and just politely slide around each other. But while I will strive to be polite, do not expect me to be cordial. It just wouldn't work. Because someday somehow I'll trip over something again and draw your wrath.
