Pace boxes................................ Third Pace box Electronics Times Pace Micro Technology has unveiled its set-top box for [ Cable & Wireless Communications ] . Pace says the device - which features the world's first incorporation of a [ Cisco Systems ] ' MCNS cable modem - will enable access to the full range of interactive services currently available from digital cable TV. Pace also previewed its digital cable set-top box for NTL. Launching later this year, it will be one of the first deployment of DVB-RC return path technology. The box features a Pace bespoke asic and Hitachi's Super-H technology. Andy Trott, Pace director of technology and strategic development, said: "We will take over 90% of the UK's digital cable market as the exclusive launch supplier to all three major UK digital cable operators."
