Benkea, 17 million users and they're all morons? I don't think so. My parents (in their late 60's) wanted to go online -- they were up and running in 20 minutes on AOL. They tell me that they consistently connect at >50K on their first try and that they never get "kicked off." As far as being "swarmed with ads" goes, you can turn off the pop-up ads be making a simple change in the user preferences. They love all the proprietary content and services, as well as the ease of use of the e-mail. They also love having Internet access I know at least two people that left AOL for Earthlink that went back to AOL because of their busy signals and difficulty with e-mail. As far as 66% of ATHM users being ex-AOL customers -- so what. ATHM has what, 700,000 subscribers? So 462,000 people left AOL in the last few years for ATHM. Big deal -- AOL signs up more people than that in a month. Regards, Ross
