That's what I thought, Scott. Just wanted to make sure.

Of course, we here had "encouraged" RNWK to make its MP3 moves months before it acted. (We had even convinced Steve Harmon of our "wisdom.") The reason it didn't is probably the result of an interest in remaining "politically correct." Alas, this never seems to work--you invariably offend somebody!

Agree that, even after acquiring Xing, RNWK could have and should have picked up Nullsoft, if only to consolidate the user base (but not to overlook continued control of the desktop and the opportunity to protect its IP from incursions by AOL, or others). Spinner is probably less important for RNWK to worry about. It's not unique. MP3.com (IPO in registration), on the other hand, remains a loose missile with huge e-commerce implications...

Even as a holder of AOL (sort of like owning a beige computer, but at least my PC's black!), I'm rootin' for RNWK.
