As I have said before on this thread, I am afraid to short any individual stock, no matter how overpriced. But I do hold LEAP puts on Schwab, which apparently some people are so confused about that they think I am shorting the stock.

Bill Fleckenstein thinks Schwab is a good short (or did, at higher levels) because it is not as volatile as Ameritrade and therefore less likely to wipe out a speculator. If you have plenty of cash to margin, the short should be profitable--though with lunatics ready to pile in using credit from whatever desperate source they can tap, there is no telling what jigs and jags could occur.
