Uncle Frank,

Hmmm, I wonder if Ausdauer is a professional writer and maybe a PR agent for SanDisk?

The beauty of investment threads like SI is the ability of the accused to face his accuser.

I guess I take your remark as a compliment. Certainly I am not a writer by profession. Most professional writers have mastered the use of the spell checker at this point. I also do not take exception to the implication that I have been planted by SanDisk to pollute web sites with unsolicited posts which hype the company or present it in an unrealistically favorable light. I have been accused of that before on the SanDisk thread itself. Do recall that I stated from the beginning that I have an established long position in SanDisk. I was attracted to this thread because of similarities I perceived in the maturation of SanDisk's business plan and the recipe for success which Moore has proposed. I have attempted to highlight these observations for those who may be interested in this company and are willing to listen.

If you find my rhetoric persuasive, perhaps you should ask yourself whether it is because of the writing itself or the context of discussion which has been deliberately tailored to the theme of this thread. To suggest that it is a sanitized weapon of propaganda pulled from cold storage and stamped with the approval of the SanDisk Board of Directors is ridiculous.

If you find my posts unnecessarily detailed and seasoned with a degree of "overkill", perhaps it is because of a passion I have for this company. The chapter on passion and belief was one section that Moore left out of his book. It is often felt to be an intoxicant which renders one's sensibility useless. To this I plead guily. However, it has helped me maintain steadfastly my commitment to this investment even as the market pushed the stock price to punishingly low depths (cash value) last October.

I'd suggest you read the primer (the Gorilla Game) if you haven't already done so, and then lurk the thread for a while to see if our style suits your sensibilities.

I did take offense to this comment, because it was evident from my original post to this thread that I had already read the book. (Also, I intentionally referenced your founding post.) I have already forgiven you for that one.
