There is a good book called Ticker Tape Trading written by Kermit C. Zieg jr...It may be hard to find these days, but worth the effort. Then there is the traders Holy Grail Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefevre.

I also totally agree with Alan, tape reading is VERY Intuitive.
