I agree and my approach is similar. Using trend lines and MACD, I determined that we were in a downtrending market for the last 3 to 4 weeks based on most indices (OEX,SPX,NDX, etc) and was inclined to play short side type trades or at least short duration trades. Now that the market appears to at least be returning to a range trading market; the long side looks as attractive with entries picked using various timing techniques.
