Tom - I've just started following the networking sector for the past couple months. Learning as much as I can as quickly as possible in my spare hours. I'm ready to make a move into either 3Com or Bay Networks. Unfortunately, my finances are still limited (though growing thanks to Gandalf) and I must choose between 3COM and Bay. As of the end of today - Dec 14 -- they are identical in share price at 38 1/8. I like both companies for the longterm. Is this the buying opportunity I've been looking for? Any suggestions on which way to tip the balance? Thanks. Bob
