Looks like HSA is taking Road - Runner's role. This opens a hole into AOL's top line though their subscriber base is limited currently. HSA also presents a viable competitive alternative to ATHM. I wonder if Portland is investigating this possibility?

Another question is how well does their service scale. I get the feeling that they have delimited their downstream so that they can position themselves against DSL without overloading the local loop. It also seems they have a weaker distribution superstructure so that they are a junior ATHM rather than a competitor. Probably they couldn't handle the full scale at least not yet.

I knew about this development, but I didn't know they had MSOs aboard and were installing. I note that some of their MSOs are cable partner jumpers. Wonder if Comcast and COX are watching?

T may end up with TCI. Some buy, Michael.
