To all, new to the ORCL thread. I have been following ORCL for awhile. I started buying at $24 after it crashed on expectations that they would miss their numbers. Now, that looks to be wrong.

I read this week in a Tech newsletter some very interesting info. on ORCL. It got me more and more excited about this stock. My personal opinion, which, of course could be wrong is that this will be one of the best performing stocks from here in the next 12 months.

My belief is that ORCL will be estimates this quarter, although not by much. I also believe that some of the 11 analysts that have it on hold will start upgrading the stock in the next couple of months. First, because of their e-commerce strategies and because for a growth stock it trades pretty cheap right now based on this years earning estimates of .99. I believe that they will exceed that with the aggressive marketing they are going to do in going after the e-commerce business particularlly from IBM.

Additionally, I believe that by the end of the summer investors will want to buy the software companies because the y2k stuff will be behind us.

Obviously, I could be wrong, but I believe that it is a unique opportunity to buy a great company at a great price and hold on. Personally, I am buying as much as I can.
