Hi Jerry,

How are you? I hope your trading is going well. I think we'll soon get to meet in Newark.

On your earlier post, I have a few questions. I think that I saw that your only indicator now is DNS for scanning. From this I gather that you are still only interested in strongly trending stocks. No bottom fishing etc.. Do you not use StochRSI(14) anymore? Especially with DNS having been and continuing over 5? Do you use the IBD back pages for new database entries? How large is your overall database? Do you use Fibinaci, Gann, or mostly eyeball your S/R?

I like the idea of KISS. Its the nature of the Universe "I think". It's definitely a good engineering rule of thumb. I've been experimenting with an indicator which basically watches for new highest closes over an 81, now 89, day time frame. There are a few pereipheral things in the indicator also ie:don't buy on gaps, low volatility, etc.. Anyway its pretty simple. Its not finished yet and the sells aren't really great, but I like the buys. Very slow easy trading, you might even call it investing "aaack".

I'm not really comforatable with anything yet. I do think that I will probably end up a longer term trader though. Still studying and trying to learn with this old hard head of mine.

I saw from one of Andrews EMails that you will be a presentor at TAOTBII, I certainly hope this is on S/R. If not maybe I can sneak you off somewhere and get a few pointers on it anyway.

Very glad to see you here, and much thanks to Andrew for directing me to this thread.

David
