re: rambus inside (or "on top") intc will have to explain why camino is bigger better faster than anything else out there. they could try to educate us clods as to the increase in bits and gigs enabled by by increased bus speeds and the opening of the bottleneck to memory flow, or simply tell us that rambus inside is the reason for the increase. you are right that intc or amd or compact has no reason to toot rmbs horns to the detriment of their own brand name, but if it presents a simple way to explain to the pc buyers that they are getting the newest fastest tech. ,why not? cadillacs Northstar System is a perfect example of a brand hyping a tech. advantage.(you can't park here if you don't have northstar). of course intc could just say we are the best, take our much revered word for it. it seems to me that as the buying public gets more sophisticated they would respond to a little tech. hype. hell, for all we know, rmbs may have agreements with licensees that demands or prohibits the use of rmbs logos.(what is a rmbs logo?)(a speeding bus with mercury wings attached and a stream of 1's and 0"s as rocket exhaust streaming out the back?) glen, great post. an ad in a real magazine, not fud in the supermarket tabloid EN. capt. rocky
