Either Alliant or someone else HAS provided a prototype because it is presently being fired (by a number of individuals). What I can't understand is how it works; it would seem to me that the technology would also require a new propellant, or, perhaps, a slug/propellant without a metal jacket. After this Kosovo business, with the use of devastating explosives and war being fought at 10,000 feet, I realize that anything is possible.
