- OT - GN, I was recently discussing your case with a friend of mine who is a psychologist working at the Montreal Neurological Institute. I asked him why would a person such as yourself endure all the abuse and the constant rejection that you face daily on this thread. I explained to him about your negativism and contrarian opinion on BIDS. I showed him a few of your posts and the resulting replies they generate. Although he was unable to analyze you first hand, he did indeed offer a general opinion. He suggested that you display the symptoms of a psychopathic molested child. You thrive (get off) on pain and abuse. You portray a "nobody loves me" attitude which is self-fulfilling because of your "I am the victim" mentality. Your appearance is probably hideous which explains your loneliness and lack of social skills. You combat your low self-esteem by trying to persuade others of your greatness. This fantasy of greatness, such as your 95% call accuracy, unfortunately is only in your mind. In your delusion you become condescending aggressive on others who do not view your fantasy..... The doctor went on and on describing similar case studies and using terms which were beyond my comprehension. He did suggest a couple of alternative therapies that could work in circumstances such as yours. One therapy is medical. They give you drugs which correct the chemical imbalances in your brain. Over the course of a few years, they hope to find the right combination which will make you normal again. A second alternative is psychiatric therapy. That is the old method made famous by hollywood in which you discuss your life with a psychiatrist. It involves regression to your early childhood which is likely where your troubles began. Not much for psychiatry and quackery, I had suggested to my Doctor friend a possible third alternative for your situation. I had suggested that my friend Rocco knock some sense into you. Might be painful but the results are immediate. The decision is yours, GN, is it Dr."A", Dr."B", or Rocco??? SirVinny
