I believe ATHM stock has or will reach bottom very soon. About 80% of volume traded on Friday [total of 11.4mm shares, the third biggest in one year], took place after 20:00 EST when the Oregon decision was announced. This final selloff was significant in volume and price decrease after the event to suggest that the market did capture the event to a great extent. It is also encouraging that most of Friday's drop took place before the annoucement: the stock drop from 111 to 100 before 20:00 EST [10% drop] and from 100 to 94.5 close after 20:00 EST [5.5% drop]. The behavior of ATT's stock is also encouraging: after an initial sellof when the news came from 54 to 52 1/2, the stock promptly recovered to 53 3/8. 40% of T's traded volume on Friday toolk place after 20:00 EST.
The final price behavior of both ATHM and T was the initial verdict on the Oregon decision and may be the correct one. Notwithstanding allarguments posted on the potential impact of such decision on ATHM, afew facts stand clear: the decision does not have an actual financial/business impact on ATHM whatsoever since a) such decision is and will be appealed and b) the services referred to are not being offered yet.
