Interviewer..Q. Can you tell us a little bit about what Pronetlink is and what the plans are?
GZ..(A) Pronetlink not only is an internet portal dealing with the expansion of providing information out to the global trade market place but is also an internet broadcast channel specializing just in trade related programming shows about Industry related business issues helping to expand business around the world.
Interviewer..Q.. Tell us about what it is to be a member of Pronetlink, what it is going to be going forward.
GZ..(A)..The first thing I highly recommend is to be a trial member which gives access for the next 60 days to use the site, including the databank which has over 3 million companies from 122 countries, the trade site, the news, the trade leads, and everything on the site, for less that $1 a day after the trial period.
Interviewer..Q..What can one find out on the site on the 3 million companies.
GZ..(A)..If you were to look for left handed widget manufacturers and dont know where to find any, one can come to the directory, search for left handed widgets and find all the companies in the world that pronetlink has listed that make left handed widgets. Then with the simple click of the button you can send out a request to all those companies at the same time, cutting down on the paperwork and allows you to price the widgets effectively.
Interviewer..Q..One you find a job like that and communicate back and forth with your possible partner can the rest of the deal be done as well??
GZ..(A)..You can get the insurance done by AON on line. There is also all your freight forwarders, there is currently 5000 frieght forwarders and customs brokers on line. You can have all the necessary shipping forms coming into the United states and download these on line. We are adding information to the site daily to give full functionality from start to finish. From finding a trade lead, to finding the right trading partner, getting the forms needed to move the product from point A to B, giving you the shipping companies, giving you the insurance to do that, working with your company to arrange financing, and on top of that bringing you programming like that found in the netcast. The goal is to be a complete service on-line at less than a dollar a day.
Interviewer..Q..Since the version 3 launch what has it been like?
GZ..(A)..We are very happy with the reaction thus far. If we were to roll out the number of hits to the site we would top 3 million hits for the month. I believe in the last day we had an additional 500 companies join up and we expect that number to increase dramatically over the next couple of months.
Interviewer..Q..I understand you have a prototype event in Indonesia tell us about that..
GZ..(A)..We are very excited about what is going on in Indonesia right now. They are being very aggressive about grasping the concept of the internet and looking to increase their export capabilities. The Pronetlink site will be broadcasting this IBE archive and demonstrating the Pronetlink site at a special event in jakarta.
Interviewer..Q.. Is this a model you hope to replicate around the world?
GZ..(A).. We are working on this same model around the world right now. We have offices in the Middle East and have a mission into market in Europe starting in May. Asia is pretty much being covered. We will be expanding into Latin America, Africa, and south America as well. We invite companies who are interested in working with us and expanding us, who have information resources to contact us in New York. Interviewer..Q.. In a year from now how do you think International trade will be conducted, will it change because of the Pronetlink site.
GZ..(A)..I believe that the internet is going to affect global trade as fast as it is affecting the rest of the world. I have seen estimates that by the year 2003 there will be close to 1.3 trillion dollars of business done on line through the internet business to business, and We believe that we are going to be a key role in that.
