ALL: Where Intel is Intel headed . . . The big question.

I bought Intel 10 years ago and held on through thick and thin. (Mostly thick I'm glad to say.) Yet, now, for the first time, I am feeling both very optimistic and very concerned at the same time. Here's my question . . .

You hold a stock til the fundementals change. Though no techy, I always understood the laddered x86 strategy, pricing, niche marketing, you know the drill. But now things are changing. Box prices are dropping, Intel is headed towards Merced, the server farms, strongarm products, buying companies. The landscape is changing. It seems there are great opportunities but also real risks. So I'm wondering how you all feel about the BIG picture. I love this thread but sometimes get mired in the nitty gritties. I'd really like to hear about the thread's take on the *macro* picture as we stand at a real crossroads in INTC's history.

Any responses much appreciated!

Best, Ivan
