It's clear that there are many people who, once they realize that a certain person is gay, cannot define them in any other way. But I still think that it could be said that the gay community has brought some of this on themselves by defining themselves as gay, rather than _____, _____, and _____, and (coincidentally gay), or even just as _____, _____, and _____. But while I think that they have put too much emphasis on their orientation (quite frankly, I don't care in the least who or what someone chooses to have sex with), it's also not right that they should have to hide their orientation, so...
I wonder how many people, when they think of Rock Hudson, remember him in Pillow Talk rather than those pictures of him wasting away.
