Disgusting isn't the word for it. Ticks? Here have a few ***. We have brown dog ticks but they're black and like people. Well, when they grow up and are full of blood they look like a lima bean. I was on a fishing trip at Timm's Ford Tennessee when a coon hound showed up acting crazy. One of the ranger was going to shoot it. I gave it the last of my goose sandwich and caught him. Full of ticks and had a name on the collar. He was the favorite dog of the manager of Jack Daniels. Been in the woods 2 months. I'm thinking a bottle here? The head ranger impounded the dog and took him back and I never saw a drop. Of course there was the satisfaction of telling him the dog in the backseat was full of ticks.
