>>Wait till Wall street catches on ;) ... ! <<

They have.

>>my shares will have to be pryed from my cold/dead hands.<<

That's what the street will try to do. It's gonna be awfully tough, though. How do they convince the true believers to unload shares after the SUNW deal, atop which will be piled the NNM "promotion" and future OEM announcements? Wonder if that's A_R's job?,>)

NEW HIGHS? ANCOR, INTERPHASE (INPH), EMULEX (EMLX) and BROCADE (BRCD) are all likely to make new highs IMO because of the rapid growth of FIBRE CHANNEL.

I would like to go on record as thanking the Series B and C preferred shareholders, whose investment allowed us to see this past week's announcement. Without the $20 million they handed over (especially the $11M in Feb 98), Ancor probably would not be around today. They may have had options the previous year when the Series B shares were issued, but it sounds like they had very few options in early 98. If those guys had decided not to invest, I wonder if anyone else would have.

We certainly complained about the manipulation they engaged in and its effect on us. They went away happy, and now I and many others are happy. Those who bought last fall have certainly gotten a better return than the preferred shareholders. Those guys never came close to a 10 bagger.

A few months ago there was some discussion of the buyout rumors circulating. I stated that I did not want Ancor to be bought out until the common stock hit $15, that I felt ANCR owed me that price for what I (and everyone else) endured the last 3 years. I now feel that the return is finally commensurate with the risk. From here on (up) I can consider this to have been a good investment.

Not that I am eager to cash out tomorrow. I still remember Iceburg's response to Ed Schultz's question:

So the next question is, assuming this is FINALLY the year of Fibre Channel, at what price do you sell ANCR?

Assuming 1989 was FINALLY the year of the pc Operating system, when would you have recommended selling MSFT ;-)

Ahhh, it might even get better.
