Those are all great points and I do do all of those things. This one happened in a vacuum (at the time) believe it or not. The next day, we found out that a notorious short seller (Asensio) had targeted the stock, but that information was not available when the stock began that long drop.

I was really trying to get at your techniques for exiting one particular stock like that when perhaps the overall market is fine. Do you offer under the bid, do a market order or what to get out fast? Is one ECN better than another for getting out in a situation like that?
