There's nothing at all illegal in what you suggested. There will be people who are holding Pixar, who are not using margin and who are not planning to sell the stock for ages. Those people would lose nothing by taking possession of their shares. IRAs cannot do that, but they can keep the shares in cash account rather than margin account and I think that will serve the same purpose.

By the way, the sock seems very undervalued to me at the current price and it smacks to me of the kind of manipulation we see before a run up. I'd personally NEVER sell shares at this level or at a time like this. I believe the stock will run up considerably from here.
