Stephen,

You peaked my interest with the auction site. Especially after seeing that it is marked as a "new" site. If what we may be speculating on is true, then number 3 below could give an indication of when Kenya/MagicTalk would be utilized for this new auction site. This is all speculation, but the pieces of this puzzle seem to fit. At least it is not a case of the pieces definitely not fitting.

Take care and see you soon.

What I see as positive:

1. For developers, Kenya combines XML with scripting techniques to provide an ideal way to quickly develop Web-based applications that leverage the power of voice."

2. At DemoMobile, General Magic is using an auction Web site to demonstrate how the new technology works. In the demo, the voice agent calls a user when he has been outbid on an item. The user is told the amount of the higher bid, given the choice of placing a new bid, and reminded of the minimum bid increase on that particular item.

3. General Magic intends to add the Kenya technology to its Portico virtual assistant service this year. In addition, the company plans to offer a software developer's kit by the end of the year so partners can create agent-based applications with the Kenya technology.

What brings me back to reality:)

1. "Before it will be widely useful, Internet agent technology needs to evolve to address every-day problems," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DemoMobile conference. "General Magic's Kenya technology is an advancement that puts the power of agents within easy reach of anyone who uses the Web to fulfill business and personal interests."
