D.O., I will be watching technicals and news with regard to entering internets. . . some are ripe, others need more sunshine and water. CPI and Fed drive market. Hype and buzz drives internet market. I am avoiding new IPO's entirely. Money has been stretched to thin. . .look at recent performance. I am looking at some of the better / older IPO's, like ABTL, TURF [who can remember?] and others for inclusion in this years winners list. First-tier, blue-chip internets for 98/99, will not necessarily be the same for 99/00. 1. Next-Generation Internet will be the phrase of the next season. . . as I look at the bargains. . .this is one consideration I will be examining carefully. 2. Earnings or a rock solid plan to get some in a timely manner. 3. Those companies PERCEIVED to be the winners, whether or not they actually will be. Tricky, huh? That is why we are all busy doing our homework now, while they are being dropped. We want the "best". . . a word open to many interpretations. Rande Is
