Let me see if I can explain it better. Let's say you want to make a point of disagreement regarding a subject matter. The first thing you do is say something nice about the person, then you make your disagreeing point, and you end with something nice.

When I was an instructor evaluator it usually went something like this....

The way you moved around the class and kept their attention was excellent. I especially liked the way you focused the class toward the back wall graph when discussing missile jettison. However, at times your voice did seem to drop off and I'm not sure the people sitting in the back of the class could hear you clearly. I look forward to your next lesson, you really motivated the students to want to learn.
