VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON GNET...

First of all let me say that I was not kicked off SI. I simply went to see a movie.

Secondly, I express my opinion.

Third if my opinion gets to you then don't read it.

Now for some serious information on Gnet. This is my opinion so don't get offended. The lure of Gnet was that it was a portal by default and would have access to Paul Allens cable. This was the future and one that looked very bright since Go2net was in unique field of very little competition.

All that has changed since Friday's ruling on AOL vs AT@T. The ruling forces AT@T to open cable lines to America Online. All other cable companies will have to do the same.

This means that America Online will become the primary source that will appear on cable TV. This poses a very serious threat to Go2Net.

America Online is established since many years. They have loyal following and huge client base. The plunge in ATHome stock was for this reason. America Online will thus become the choice of most cable users.

If I had to choose between service offered by Go2net and Aol I would choose Aol. They have alot more choice and funds.

See no one tells you the truth. Probably analysts knew this all along while they sold Gnet stock. It is for this reason I believe that it will not recover. Competition will crush Go2Net from Aol.

Hope this information was helpful. Remember it is my opinion.

Now that 10 million message has been posted expect people to sell as they bought friday on this news.

Sincerely
