Sadly, your advice will probably be ignored.

In my experience, which is not minimal, I have found that new people almost NEVER want to learn how to choose a stock. It appears that the vast majority have, for whatever reason, decided that they "can't" and they need to listen to someone who "can".

It's the same old story, different magazine cover.

It's not the book, it's not the tape, it's not the fancy seminar, it's not the chat line, or T-Mex, or Joe Kernan, or Dorsey, or Bollinger, or Bob Pisani, or your ex-wife's gardener's dentist's receptionist's boyfriend's inside information.

It's you. It's your money. The moment you allow someone else to control it, then you sit in the back seat. Simple as that.

People can't drive in the back seat. They wish they could, most of them wish about everything in the world except to take time to learn what they need to learn to day trade successfully. Sorry, no shortcuts.

An ordinary fellow walks into the trading center, opens an account, and sits down at the machine. He thinks he is a genius, he thinks he can make money, this is too easy, what's not to understand.

60 days later and 40 grand lighter, adios.

I don't want to tell you how many times I've seen it. It breaks my heart. #reply-8330396
