DCF, Your rant about my "disrespect" for your family is based on your imagination, not any sentiments of mine. I have nothing but admiration for the unimaginable courage displayed at Omaha Beach, Guadacanal, Bataan, the B17 crews who flew to their destruction in 7 missions, and the infantry who slogged their way up the Italian Boot. Sunday I spoke at a congregation in Winder, GA. A pert sister of 84 told me of her husband, murdered not long ago. Murdered for preaching the Bible in the USA. A witness I knew was hung in Texas, many of my friends have been in prison here for Christian neutrality, and I grew up expecting to go to jail because I would refuse to kill. The courage to face a prison sentence for Christian convictions doesn't equal that for charging a machine gun, but it certainly isn't cowardice. I was with George Vella in Houston when a man challenged him as a "coward, won't fight for your country." George asked if he'd been in combat. The man stammered a negative, then George told him he had, was a Marine for 16 years, but would never fight again. He spoke for thousands of American veterans who became JWs. Dan, you're full of anger. Which fruit of the spirit is that? What did Jesus mean: Put your sword into its sheath. All those that take the sword will die by the sword? There was a survivor near ground zero at Hiroshima: A Japanese witness in the jail cellar for refusing to fight .... Americans! At Revelation 19:19 the Kings of the Earth and their armies fight Jesus. Read what happens to them in verse 21. You see Dan, we don't believe in war, and we'll die before we kill. Something wrong with that? Don
