Don the first thing to discuss is semantics of Christianity. Then would come discussing inspired words and their origin. I see you are an old timer also. I am well versed in the bible, raised in the church, attended bible school, baptized at 12 yrs and regular attenee. I know by now just about all the points you could make for your belief. In my late 40"S I experienced a revelation similar to Saul on the road to Damascus. It completely did away with my faith and belief and replaced it with truth I could not deny. It left me dumbfounded because I had to completely change the way I thought and decisions I had to make. I have no desire to singly debate this with every bible believer and could not even if desired. With a son-in-law preacher and a family of churchianity believers I know from experience what closed minds are. There are volumes of tomes by scholars who have devoted their lives to research the book and it's origin. The english language has done a miserable job of translating and defining words it makes it even more difficult to discuss. The true meaning of God, Life, Death, Heaven, and Hell and the souls motion through existence are lacking in the bible and religion. Only Christ (Not man) can reveal this to you. Limiting your decision to faith over reason how could anyone other than Christ convince you? I will not respond anymore unless you desire to research other than the bible itself. I have no need to attend church and do not promote any. It appears that we both will experience the end of earthly life this time around ere long. I am 75 and you are over 60. My philosophy in a nutshell- God is. All other just appears to be. Know Thyself !!!!!
