Tench - RE: "Oh, Ben, if only you knew about Willamette. Let's just say that AMD's definition of "seventh-generation technology" isn't the same as Intel's definition of "seventh-generation technology.""

I also eagerly anticipate this processor. Do you know if Intel is scheduled to give initial info about it at the Conference held each year in October?

Oh really? By the time Williamette becomes reality, it may spend half of its life cycle competing with a K8. Ain't that a neat prospect.

Yup, AMD is going right down the tubes.

Ten,

Oh, Ben, if only you knew about Willamette. Let's just say that AMD's definition of "seventh-generation technology" isn't the same as Intel's definition of "seventh-generation technology."

I'm so scared.....
Big bad Intel has put all their top CPU brainpower into Willamette ;^)

Tench,

Let's also be fair. With the amount of design time that has gone into Williamette, it had better be 9th generation technology.

Regards,

Steve
