3dfx get caught napping? It was about time one of the chip manufacturers did this (ATI excluded)... S3 designs 3d accelerated mobile chip s3.com All I have to say is the next gen 3dfx chip better be in retail before the holiday season and better be a generational leap in speed AND technology or else I'm probably outa here. Its all about execution in my eyes at this point. You can make a strong arguement that 3dfx has lost the technology edge with V3 (not speed but feature set) and they seem to be at a pivotal crossroads in regards to consumer, developer, and manufacturer (OEM) mindshare.
