Tri Corners is an emerging competitive telecommunications service provider and A and B spectrum LMDS license holder. Full-scale services are scheduled to commence in December 1999. LMDS, a high frequency broadband wireless system operating in the 28 Ghz spectrum, can be quickly deployed to cost-effectively deliver data, Internet, voice, video and multimedia services using point-to-multipoint distribution systems. The Newbridge broadband wireless access solution for LMDS enables Tri Corners to enter the telecommunications market quickly with a broad portfolio of premium quality services for business and residential customers. Tri Corners Telecommunications is the fifth LMDS licensee in the United States to select the Newbridge broadband wireless solution, following announcements with Gateway Telecom, South Central Telcom, Home Telephone Inc. and Central Texas Communications. The Newbridge asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) Radio Interface Card (ARIC), an integral component of the Newbridge LMDS solution, received the IEC InfoVision Award in 1998. The solution has also been recognized with the Data Communications magazine Hot Product Award.
