(PR NEWSWIRE) LG Electronics Adopts Spatializer Technology
LG Electronics Adopts Spatializer Technology

Spatializer N-2-2(TM) Virtual Surround Technology Incorporated Across LG's
Range of Proprietary and OEM DVD Models

Spatializer Builds Momentum for N-2-2 to Become the De Facto Standard for
Virtual Surround Sound in the DVD Player Market

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Spatializer Audio
Laboratories, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPAZ) announced today the adoption of
its premier Spatializer N-2-2 for virtual surround processing technology by LG
Electronics for use in their 1999 Goldstar and OEM DVD models from Zenith and
Emerson. This announcement signifies the progress made by Spatializer towards
N-2-2 becoming a world standard for virtual surround sound DVD players and
digital audio applications.
Pete Birch, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Company stated,
"We are very pleased to have N-2-2 included in the LG players. Goldstar is a
globally respected brand and combined with their OEM relationships,
significantly increases our exposure in the consumer market. We look forward
to working closely with them to educate their customers on the benefits of the
technology. Their adoption of N-2-2 is particularly satisfying as it
indicates that our efforts to educate both the users and manufacturers of DVD
and PC products are beginning to pay off. 'Not all 3D-audio is the same,' is
the message. We were able to convince Toshiba and Apple that we have the
highest quality virtual audio algorithm available, and we knew that it
wouldn't be long before other manufacturers heard us. We expect to make other
similar announcements in the near future."
LG is currently producing 2 DVD models incorporating N-2-2: the DVD-2300,
and the DVD-2350. LG also produces N-2-2 equipped players through its OEM
channel. In particular, in the U.S. market, LG will manufacture for Zenith
Electronics and Emerson Radio who will both be retailing N-2-2 equipped
players in 1999.
Kwang Soo Jeung, Executive Vice President (Audio/Video OBU) for LG
Electronics commented, "The inclusion of Spatializer's N-2-2 into our players
is a real value add for our customers. A large percentage of DVD users do not
have a complete home theater system. N-2-2 allows them to hear the
multi-channel effect through just two speakers with no compromise in audio
quality. The benefits are obvious -- no more wiring hassles, and no need to
furnish the room around the audio system."
The adoption of the Spatializer N-2-2 technology by these manufacturers
builds on the previous major DVD design wins for N-2-2, most notably with
Toshiba who incorporate the technology across their full 1999 range of
industry leading DVD models.
"This collaboration clearly strengthens Spatializer's position in the
consumer electronics and PC sectors," said Cheryl Currid, president, Currid &
Company, a Houston-based research company focused on digital technology.
"Spatializer is clearly leading the pack in delivering virtual audio for the
consumer electronics and PC market."
