RIG

Big Dog, thanks. I like RIG too, but the only problem is that it seems to be a better buy every day. I will buy that one back some day but just want to see some sustained strength. Fundamentally this stock looks like a steal. But, I get real nervous when RIG consistently fails to rally with the OSX over the last couple of months. I know I will end up missing a few points on RIG by my waiting, but feel more comfortable waiting this one out a little.

(Edit) Figures as I was typing RIG is up a half point.....

MRL NEWS

I just looked quickly through the thread, pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet.

First Union report this am on MRL -

1. MRL mgt turned down 130,000/day 5 year negotiated offer for the 700. Wow. How many of us would take that in a heart beat.
2. The lower levels at Esso are very happy with the 700 progress - in direct contradiction to the "public stance" of the higher level mgt negotiators. Posturing?
3. The FTU analyst (Yves Siegel?) thinks we need 85% cap utilization before we see any dayrate pricing power. It is 66.7% currently.

Big Dog was probably too modest to link us to this one, so I will.
