Dave, In Operation's Research, one frequently encounters a view which can be described as "Walking into the future facing backwards" where all that is perceived is based upon what has transpired in the past. There's another view, (among several) that says "The future is what we make it". I think that I'm seeing both proponents here on the thread; and my experience has been that it takes a LOT of argument to convince, if ever, the first view that the second is even possible. Also,I think the Bible talks about swines and pearls...grin
